Great job, Poland! In SK we use to celebrate Valentine´s Day, too. We do very similar things in very similar ways. In our opinion it is very similar in each country where people celebrate this holiday. We don´t use to have any special program at school on this day, but we talk about it with our teachers and we use to prepare some Valentine´s cards for them as well as for our parents, friends and schoolmates. It is really fun. Slovak team
Fantastic presentation! At our school we do not celebrate this event, but our kids talk about it a lot. In the country people do almost the same as your spectacular presentation shows. Congratulations again!
Introduction: Intercultural difference is not simply a question of language. Even if we know how to speak a foreign language we also know there are plenty of traps, which make real communication difficult because of cultural differences. We do not always just use words to communicate something. We can express pleasure with a smile and anger with a glower. We express surprise by raising our eyebrows and indifference by shrugging our shoulders. In fact there is a whole language of body movements and gestures that we use all the time, often without realising it. In fact, it is known as body language.
